Anyone on here using Isotta housings?
How much smaller is the dealbreaker for you? Below are the A7RV housing sizes with base housing only. Ports ect should be fairly same size for all. Isotta Nauticam Marelux Sea&Sea Width 28.2cm 34cm 33.46cm 33cm Height 18.6cm 17cm 18.98cm 16.9cm Depth 12.7cm 12.7cm 13.23cm 13.7cm Total 59.5cm 63.7cm 65.67cm 63.6cm % larger 0 7.06% 10.37% 6.89% Weight Not listed 2.7kg 3kg 2.9kg Isotta is clearly smallest in width, and you can see that in pictures also. It also looks most crammed with buttons in the back. Wouldn't say Isotta is very compact compared to other aluminum housings, with 7% difference.

Anthis Nexus Nikon D7500 Housing Conversion for Nikon Z6iii
Some next level DIY stuff right there. 👍 And great documentation for us to see. And you arent the only one (or the last) to notice the horrid battery life on mirrorless compared to DSLR's.

Housing A7V and A7R5
Camera bodies are almost identical with small 1mm difference in size. Nauticam housing for A7V has playback lever moved from top left to a button bottom right. Also slight streamlining can be seen in the body also. I went from A7RV to A1ii and the new one has little bit different main o-ring seating than old housing, i suspect this new system is also in the A7V housing.

Nauticam troubleshooting
Unfortunately you most likely have a leak somewhere. Could be any of the buttons ect with an o-ring. You could try to use leak detection smoke to pinpoint where it is, but if its really small, it might be useless. Your local dealer can service and change everything im sure.

Nauticam back on the compact (sports/action) market (Insta360 X5)
$1100 for the housing plus $165 for the periscope stick (Ø37x350 Carbon Fibre Aluminium Float Stick (Buoyancy 190g)) Well cheaper abroad obviously.

Nauticam back on the compact (sports/action) market (Insta360 X5)
Looks like Nauticam is back on the compact camera housing market. Saw this pop on my socials feed, nothing on Nauticam website tho.

Mikomoto
I thought there was a thread about Mikomoto already, but couldnt find one. Anyway. Going to Japan early autumn and have set my sights on Mikomoto. Recommendation needed on operator, accommodation, ect. The whole lot. I know theres the occasional storm when diving is cancelled and im thinking for a week, but is that too much? Also do the operator offer for example macro diving at Izu if Mikomoto is stormed off? Or is this to be arranged on your own? Lens choices, most footage is from far away in the blue, so strobes can be left in hotel im sure? Sony full frame shooter, what are best options? Or just GoPro? Any help appreciated.

Float arms, which brands provide good quality at reasonable price?
I ordered some arms and floats from Temu. 2x 20(8inch)cm arm and four of the floats total of 35€. Arms arent real high quality with treatment on balls deteriorating. The floats (175g each) feel real good. I dont like the porous material of stix, and these are solid. All in all, about 60 dives in, im giving the arms 5/10 and floats 9/10.

Sony A7rV Autofocus Problem
My main issue is that the AI tracks and then decides its not the subject. Like stationary(some movement but you know) nudi, initial focus on rhinopore and its stays there 5-10 seconds, then the AI just suddenly decides its not where to focus and goes to the gills, body or sand. Insect, Animal, eye/head/body doesnt matter. Ok nudibranch isnt the most common subject that the AI has learned im sure. Also tried little bit with tripod, to minimize camera movement, and set focus on point x and thought its good, but camera actually focuses on point z that was just outside/edge of the box. This happens without the AI subject recognition also.

Sony A7rV Autofocus Problem
For some reason, i seem to have this exact same thing. A1ii+100mm. Shooting nudis, initial focus on rhinopore and then it just buggers off to grain of sand or a spot on nudi. Didnt have any of this on A7RV+90mm, always spot on. Maybe mods can break this into own thread?

Nauticam vacuum issue
It should flash yellow first when it senses you are losing vacuum, flashing red is vacuum lost already. Funny enough, i had this today on 3rd dive, started flashing yellow at 20 meters, got up to 5 meter and it went to green again.

"Lite" version of m82-holder-for-mfo-3
I think my main problem was the material. As it was public library, no choice in material only colour. So both parts are same and no idea what. But hey, it was free and i got them to fit, so all good 🤣

First time flying with camera gear, any tips or tricks?
I dont think my carryon has ever been weighed in Indonesia. I have around 60 domestic flights there on Garuda, Batik, Lion and Wings. Few times it has been gate checked on Garuda, not because of weight, but because of small plane and no overhead space. Garuda doesnt operate these plane types anymore. Normally boarding is pretty much "free for all", atleast on Lion Group flights, so better to try board with first to get some overhead space. If they want to checkin your carryon, you could try the magic word "lithium-ion"?

New Sony A7V + New Sony 27-80 kit lens
Lucky for UW photographers, the body is Before the A7V was released, it was rumored to be same body as A7RV, but seems like its few millimeters off just like with the A7 IV. A7 V 130x96x82 - A7 IV 129x97x81 - A7 RV 131x97x82 Button placement looks same in all 3, so maybe a small conversion kit?

Thoughts on the Nauticam housing for the Canon R50?
Kraken is with same/similar slow cable. They are coming with new version beginning of next year with better cable. Thats what i was told by one retailer. Theres also something from Dive and See, pricey but usb 3.2 see here Fotocore seems to have come out with their own also see here With the Fotocore one, you could add the M16 vacuum valve?

Help deciding on a new setup for the a7cII
The 50mm Sony macro is very sluggish, and you probably would be disappointed in performance. Your options are: 100mm, great lens but expensive 90mm, still a great lens and can be picked up cheap on second hand market now 60mm Nikon with Monster adapter, could be an option, I have had pretty good performance on A7RV
