  1. @jsintek Welcome to Waterpixels. The other site seems to be dying a slow death, and only the classifieds section seems to be active.
  2. @Francisco Kyle Welcome to Waterpixels!
  3. This pretty cool strobe and video light has been used once. Works perfectly, and comes with the recommended batteries and charger. It produces powerful, even light as a strobe and 5000 lumens of smooth video light. If you look closely there are small marks showing use. I like it, but decided to get dedicated video lights and I'll stick with my old Inons for stills. I'd be interested in partial trades for Kraken video lights, or a Backscatter MF-2. $750 and we split the cost of PayPal fees (3.49% or $13.09) and USPS shipping to US buyers. International buyers also responsible for VAT and international shipping. 30 day money back guarantee.
  4. @Phil Rudin Cool looking fish. What's that green thing in the background?
  5. I usually find the problem is related to my own inattention. I've damaged quite a few things, but I try to slow down when putting gear together, and I pull my o-rings and put them in a plastic bag when I'm not using the equipment for an extended time. Others leave their o-rings in place, but I suspect they get compressed over time.
  6. Welcome to Waterpixels! I'm sure the R1 will be fantastic.
  7. Here's a screenshot from DPReview on its specs. Looks like program exposure only if this is correct, so it wouldn't do for underwater photography.
  8. @Luko that's very cool. Maybe pre-treat with acetaminophen? @Chris Ross I had a look back at FD lenses a couple of years ago during a bout of nostalgia, and I found that some of my old beloved Canon lenses were really prone to fungus and internal element etching, eg, 28mm f2 v 85mm f1.8 - and wider lenses in general. But you can get screaming deals nowadays - 300mm f2.8s for USD 500-600.
  9. @Ozzie74 The fish have all migrated to Waterpixels. Welcome back!
  10. @eLzUb Welcome to Waterpixels!
  11. @ChrisH Well done sir! Lovely stuff. And you got your Mandarins!
  12. @Davide DB Keldan porn indeed. Very sexy.
  13. @Jukka-Pekka Salmenkaita Welcome to Waterpixels!
  14. @bghazzal Ben - really nice! Again, I'm amazed at your manual focusing and just nailing this stuff. I have hard time making stills of sea stars.
  15. I noticed that there are a couple of other pages called Waterpixels, too.
  16. @Kraken de Mabini I like the photo. The composition and cropping are okay, but there's probably not great benefit from shooting it 16:9 versus 3:2. The background is dark, which separates the fish from the background. The photo looks color balanced, and not too contrasty. I would want to see more photos to give better suggestions. Strobes always give more versatility.
  17. @Elvandar That's super! Thanks for posting.
  18. @ScubaBC Beautiful work. Thanks for putting that up.
  19. @Chris Ross Looks terrific! Were you able to get refunded, at least partially, for the missed first trip?
  20. @Assist91 Welcome aboard! Wonderful photos with your Sony RX100Va.
  21. Welcome aboard @Mike !
  22. It's pretty limited. Nauticam says your working distance 43-95mm. That's why a native lens that magnifies a lot is cool, like the OM Systems 90mm, which reportedly does 2:1, when most standard macro lenses do 1:1. Canon RF 100mm does 1.3:1.
  23. @brightnight Adobe's subscription thing is a benefit if you're using cloud storage. I subscribe to that (USD 120/year), with Lightroom. Editing is basic, but has enough of what I need for photos. With regards to Photoshop -- which I don't have right now -- I'm not a fan of creating crazy whiz bang photos from poorly executed initial images anyhow. You can also buy Photoshop Elements, if you don't want to do a subscription, and you can process RAW, but you will have to pay for updates, if that's still a thing.
  24. @Dave_Hicks That's very cool Dave! Keep us posted.
