Litos Posted Monday at 03:20 PM Posted Monday at 03:20 PM (edited) I am thinking on getting a snoot. I already have an AOI Q1RC , so getting the AOI snoot will be cheap. However it seems to be just a 'duct with a hole' with no optical concentration. How does it compare with MF2? Is the focusing led usable? Edited Monday at 03:21 PM by Litos
bvanant Posted Monday at 07:55 PM Posted Monday at 07:55 PM Get the MF. No optical concentration and the LED is very weak. Bill 2

Hi Litos, if you have a AOI Q1RC, there is an adapter made by Flex-Arm that allow you to utilise the snoot from Backscatter . https://www.flex-arm.com/it/flash/snoot-flash-subacquei/flex-arm-adattatore-per-flash-aoi-ucs-q1rc-per-snoot-backscatter.html So you can utilise your flash AOI and the backscatter snoot. 1

Giancarlo M. Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) I was able to try the AOI strobe + snot Backscatter MF2 combination on my last trip to Anilao, with the adapter made by Flex-Arm. Everything works perfectly, plus the combination performs better, compared to the original, as Aoi has slightly more power and more battery life. Edited 18 hours ago by Giancarlo M. 3 1
