Does anyone know whether you would need the M67 adaptor/spacer when using a non Nauticam wet lens?

I've got an inon UCL-165 so it's got the M67 thread, but I'm not sure what the spacer is for that comes with the SMC-1 for (as I don't have the lens or spacer) - would it be needed for all diopters or just the Nauticam specific ones?

For what it's worth, I just screw the Inon UCL-165 directly on my housing's M67 threaded port, no spacer, but I'm guessing this might depend on the port/lens used.

Inon has a compatibility chart here: http://www.inon.jp/products/lens/ucl165m67/compatibility.html , but it's old and lens info is a little tricky to spot.

You will know if you need it. On some ports, the lens will hit the glass before it is screwed in all the way. That needs the spacer; if the lens doesn't hit without the spacer you are good to go.

Thanks both - wasn't sure if it was a distance thing for the focus, or a physical fitting thing.

Sounds like it's the latter so will be easy to test quickly on land.
