Hello,

I'm in de process of ordering an nauticam housing for my sony a6700.

I use it with a sigma mc-11, does someone else has this system? Maybe with a zen dp-100?

- according to nauticam the zoomgear 19529 is for N100 mount, not for the N85. They haven't tested it so according to nauticam it's not sure it wil work. Is someone using this configuration and with what zoomgear?
- and what is the difference between the N85-N120 post adapter I and II (36206 and 36207). I know the 36206 is no longer in production, the 36207 is newer. I can get the 32606 second hand, saves me some money.
Is the N85-N120 enough with 50mm, is there a difference between the sigma mc-11 and metabones adapter?

Thank you!

These port adapters were designed for specific camera systems to place the zoom control on the adapter in the right position to work with the N120 zoom gears and it used to be that the applicable zoom gear was the Canon EF zoom gear with the lens on the standard lens adapter - either Metabones or Sigma. There used to be a line item on the port chart at the end confirming this. Now there is just a cryptic statement on the website that says: "Compatible with all E mount port systems."

The Nauticam 19529 zoom gear is listed for the Tokina 10-17mm on the Canon N120 EF port chart, so this appears correct

As far as I know the only change with the type II adapters is they have upgraded the port locking system (at least on type II extension tubes) and upgraded the price. If the adapters are the same length it should be fine.

I suggest you confirm with the dealer that this is the way it works still or email Nauticam to confirm.

Thank you for your reply. I already was at the dealer last week. They didn't know for sure about the zoom gear and contacted nauticam. According to their reply the zoomgear 19529 is for the sony N100 and couldn't tell it would fit. They had never tested it. But on the website it says N120 for canon, very confusing. I know people use this configuration, so I hope somebody can confirm it.

Try emailing Nauticam directly, they should know this and reply to you.

I shoot the Tokina 10-17mm on my A6100 (in an A6400 housing), with a Sigma MC-11.

I use the 19529 zoom gear, with the Port adapter 1. It looks like the port adapter 2 moved the lock assembly to 90 degrees offset from the knob, vs 180 degrees on my version 1. You can still get the version 1 at Backscatter, FYI. I am also using the Zen DP100 glass mini dome.

I can confirm this setup works perfectly with the A6XXX series cameras, and gives incredible results. Please let me know what questions you have.

Metabones and sigma are the same from a flange to flange distance (this is standardized to offset the DSLR lens the right distance from the mirrorless sensor).

Thank you for your response. I got my answer about the zoomgear: strangely not from nauticam, but Zen had the answer. I have ordered the same setup as yours, except the housing for the a6700. I should have it in 1-2 weeks. I also have a sigma mc-11, got it cheap. It is for sigma lenses but seems to work with the tokina Is yor sigma mc-11 for canon lenses or sigma lenses? Do you also use it for videos and if so, is that working?

Thank you!

Video AF tends to be more problematic and I seem to recall that video AF does not work at all with the MC-11, this post mentions it:

Metabones say theirs works but says: "Continuous video AF is functional in Advanced mode only but performance may be unsatisfactory."

That same post says the adapter provides flawless AF on stills and video with the tokina adapter with a Sony A1 and Canon 8-15 lens. Reading through that thread may help you.

My MC-11 is for Canon lenses, because I'm using the canon mount version of the tokina 10-17.

If yours is the sigma version, it will not work for the canon lenses. I just learned a hard lesson. The Sigma MC-11 comes in 2 Variants! SA or EF : r/SonyAlpha

As far as Chris's comments, I've not noticed any issues with AF in video mode on my A6100.
