DocTock Posted January 24 Share Posted January 24 (edited) I've tried snoot macro shots before with some (minimal) success and feel "aiming" the snoot is most of the battle for me. On an upcoming trip I should have the ability to do repeated macro dives with super-helpful Indonesian dive guides. I really appreciated the recent WaterPixels article about making your own fiberoptic cable. What would be suggested for the optimum length for a fiberoptic cable for the snoot strobe aimed by an "assistant"? TimG Posted January 24 Share Posted January 24 Pretty much as long as you like, Doc. What you don’t use immediately is easily just coiled up by your strobe assistant. Pick a length… 3 feet, 4 feet….
