You can shoot the 16-35 wide open. You may end up with, how do you say, artistic renderings. 😉

The Sony 20-70mm covers a good range on full frame, but likely not a good fit for APS-c. It would be a 30mm to 105mm equivalent - not wide enough and not close focusing enough to make it worth your while.

Pretty much every modern mirrorless camera can do both, but it's a question of whether or not the manufacturer could mate cutting edge performance and price. You just have to decide which system you want to marry. Lenses gets into a whole other realm of discussion. There are lots of opinions regarding this, and even on whether or not Nauticam's wet lenses are the way to go. The 1650 and WWL seems a good choice. Very good performance. Small enough (though smaller and lighter would be desirable). Others would argue that the WACP lenses are the way to go, but these are more expensive. Another plus for WWL lenses is that they pop up for sale with some regularity.

@Waja purchased a Nauticam flash trigger from me, which was part of a larger lot for sale. Easy and no drama transaction. Highly recommended.

I'd say if you're a still photographer wanting to shoot more video, like me, this is a great choice. It's my choice, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. It shoots oversampled 4k 60p, has good rolling shutter specs. There's a 1.3x crop with stabilization, and something like 1.5x crop if you shoot 4k 120p, which is not great. All of this means that it's got the specs we want, and Sony's autofocusing is top of the class. Dunno about the setting white balance, but my guess is that it's doable.

For the 1" balls on Ultralight Control System hardware, they recommend Buna O Rings size 2-209, or Danco #95 15/16 x 11/16 x 1/8 inches. (I really prefer metric measurements).

@coweyman Welcome to Waterpixels. I navigate the site thinking that if I'm thinking about something, I'm usually late to the party, so searching for subjects is a good idea. I don't like the old school search parameters we use though.

It seems bulky is inescapable. Much like middle-age spread and reading glasses. The three ball clamps work fine, but I also like to use the cold shoes on the housing or port, and fastener bolt holes on some housings.

That bare arm is begging you to spend more money! It has the look of a peg-legged pirate.

That's from a GoPro Hero 7 black. I was shooting my A6000 with a 90 macro.

Did you use the SEL11mm on that clip? Looks nice, and I like the music. Seems that would be a good focal length for APS-c video and stills.

My bad, I glanced at that scorpionfish and my brain thought frogfish. This short clip is the frogfish I was thinking of. Couldn't make a decent still frame of it. GX010410 2.mov

That does sound more useful. I was wondering how to get another lens to work with an SMC/CMC. But this, in effect, will likely increase magnification, say 1:1 to something a bit more. The Canon RF 100 macro does 1:1.4 but might do more, eh?
