wide+macro lens recommendations for a Sony APS-C video system?
@Davide DB Any opinions on using the WWL for video? I think I saw a post where you mentioned wobbles at depth.

wide+macro lens recommendations for a Sony APS-C video system?
I think Sony's autofocus is really something. Amazingly sticky tracking once it's locked on. The 10-20mm or older 10-18 may be good behind a dome. 90 is a bit long unless you're exclusively shooting creatures <20mm, so the Zeiss Touit 50 macro may be the winner.

It has a reputation for slow focusing. On newer bodies, once it's locked on, it tracks pretty well.

Hot Mediterranean Sea
We can live only so long without facts and the search for truth. Otherwise it's a head-long dive into the metaphorical abyss.

bonfire dives (light-trap dives)
Thanks for that Ben. Always well researched and thoughtful. I did my first BW dive from the Smiling Seashorse in the Andaman Sea. This was in February, and I was a disaster. I had my Sony A7c and a Sony 50mm macro (a bit short and slow).

"High color rendering lights" -- which current brands fit this picture? Also, I'm a bit annoyed that Minemizu-san copyrighted the term Black Water Dive.

Thanks @RomiK I thought of it myself. 😉

Popularity of underwater video vs photo?
I, too, agree. And let's not forget video editiing software - a bit easier than splicing and taping.

You can shoot the 16-35 wide open. You may end up with, how do you say, artistic renderings. 😉

Sony 20-70mm f4 lens
The Sony 20-70mm covers a good range on full frame, but likely not a good fit for APS-c. It would be a 30mm to 105mm equivalent - not wide enough and not close focusing enough to make it worth your while.

A6700 Manual White Balance
Pretty much every modern mirrorless camera can do both, but it's a question of whether or not the manufacturer could mate cutting edge performance and price. You just have to decide which system you want to marry. Lenses gets into a whole other realm of discussion. There are lots of opinions regarding this, and even on whether or not Nauticam's wet lenses are the way to go. The 1650 and WWL seems a good choice. Very good performance. Small enough (though smaller and lighter would be desirable). Others would argue that the WACP lenses are the way to go, but these are more expensive. Another plus for WWL lenses is that they pop up for sale with some regularity.

Buyer/Seller feedback from Classified Sales
@Waja purchased a Nauticam flash trigger from me, which was part of a larger lot for sale. Easy and no drama transaction. Highly recommended.
