Hi all,

any feedback of this adapter on M43 camera?

I know it's a long shot but I would need it for a Sigma lens with Canon EF mount...

This is the adapter I use with the Canon 8-15 fisheye on the OM-1.  I have tried it with a few EF lenses and it seems to work well on all I have tried.  You will see the compatible camera/lens list of course on the page you linked, these are generally reliable as I understand it.

It's an old but amazing lens  hence my doubt

OK- it's  for surface use then?  if you have the lens you could try it out if someone has an adapter you could borrow.  Longer lenses like that tend to be more of a problem for AF, but the bright f2.8 and presumably a sharp lens could help.  I note that the list says:  Other lenses not listed here typically work well, too.

Hi @Chris Ross , I have version 1 of the EF to m43 Metabones adapter and I am having issues with AF-C to the point I can only use it with AF-S which is not great for moving subjects and forces me to recompose all the time or get the odd blurry shot every now and then. I am running the latest firmware on the adapter and the camera (OM-1).
I was wondering if version II which claims to have full PDAF compatibility has this issue.

Have you used the 8-15 with AF-C or AF-C + tracking?

Cheers

My standard preset for UW is using AF-C, I haven't used AF_C plus tracking. In tropical waters I've found the AF is pretty good. Recently I was shooting grey nurse sharks early in the day in lower vis waters and it didn't want to focus on the shark body until I got my small single point on an edge, like the outline of the shark, I'm thinking for subjects like that I'll try using a centre cross array of AF points. Normally if there is contrast in the subject it focuses pretty quickly.

Thank you, yes AF area point presets do help a lot with focusing in low viz with the OM1 I find.
