Also keep in mind the further you are away from the subject, the more chance of particles in the water column between the lens and subject. Your lighting output will also need to be increased. Sounds like you already understand that part.

Yes. I tried the smc2.. and oh my... Good results but hard to nail down. Smc1 is easier to manage.
