Using focus ring in macro
Yes, I was thinking of using manual focus while on AF. Using Nikon 105 or 85mm you can use manual focus in AF. And in top of that I use the thumb focus button.

Using focus ring in macro
Sometimes when I am at minimum focus distance maybe it would be useful to have a focus gear, not for using only focus gear and not AF obviously but for an extra help. Or for example to focus at the minimum distance manually and work from there, without having to AF at some element. I know that you can always move a little bit. I have never used a focus gear but I suppose that if the focus gear exists in the market it would be for some use. That’s why I was asking if people are using it.

Using focus ring in macro
Was wondering if you guys are using focus ring when shooting macro, let’s say for example with 105mm or 85mm. Until now was not using but I was thinking in buying one.🤔 Thanks

Question on dual flip lens holders
Hi, I have used with S&S DX Macro Port 87 and both Nikkor macro 85mm and 105mm on Nikon D300 and D500. I haven't noticed any vignetting at all. There is indeed a little gap from the flip itself.

Question on dual flip lens holders
Hi, The Saga flip has two pieces, the flip itself and another that is the one that screws onto the port. In the single one you simply move the flip and screw at the desired angle. I don’t have the double flip, but for what I see in the image from Saga is like fixed position 10-2, but like SwiftFF5 have pointed out you can move that 10-2 at the position you like. But I’m not sure you can have it at 9-3. Hope that helps. I am adding some photos for clarification.

What Images Do You Keep???
If I were to delete the worst photos of a dive, I would only be left with a couple or none at all. 🤣 Unlike the others have said, I only delete the clearly bad images, and for me clearly bad is totally out of focus, accidental triggers, etc. I like to have all the images with the specie tags on them, maybe an image is very bad but is the only photo of a specie that I have. Talking in consideration that the storage is quite cheap, I have a 12TB for the images (land and underwater), every dive or trip is a folder numbered by date.

Question on dual flip lens holders
I only have a single flip from Saga Dive, it does not increase vignetting in my rig, or at least I haven’t seen any difference at all. The single flip it is screwed on the port then you can choose the exact angle that you need to be mounted. The double flip from Saga, if I’m not wrong, you cannot choose the angle, is like fixed 10-2 setup. Sorry, I cannot help with the others brands.

For sale two units S&S D2 strobes
I’m selling 2 S&S strobes in perfect working condition. 1x YS-D2 unit 1x YS-D2J unit (Made in Japan) Both units are fully functional with no issues. I'm selling them because I want to upgrade to two D3. They’ve never been flooded and have never caused me any problems. As you can see in the photos, the battery caps are clean, with no rust or corrosion. They’ve been very well cared for. They can be triggered either by a 5-pin sync cable or by fiber optic cable—I’ve used both methods without any issues. I’m including 100º and 120º diffusers for both strobes and the boxes. Location: Near Barcelona, Spain. I’m selling both together for €590, shipping included within Spain. For other countries, shipping costs are at the buyer’s expense. For international buyers: I will cover the shipping cost equivalent to domestic shipping within Spain; the buyer will pay the difference.

Scopolamine motion sickness patches - FDA
Thank for the info, On a trip when I was using them I experienced in my body the heat-related problems that the article describe, increase of body temperature and the inability to sweat. At that time I hadn't read anything related to this.

Help identifying this mollusc?
Thank you Davide.👌 At first, I thought it might be an Alicia, but I don’t know why I ruled out this specie. 😅 Then I have seen it before indeed

Help identifying this mollusc?
Maybe not anemone but some kind of molluscs.

Thoughts on Nikon FF?
Just to make it clear. I bought a Isotta Housing brand new. Isotta still makes housing for D500. I search for a while the second hand market with no luck

Thoughts on Nikon FF?
I was in a similar situation like you are. I was using a D300 in a S&S Housing. And just switched to a D500 and Isotta housing one month ago. For me not having to buy new lenses and ports and being able to use the Tokina 10-17 was a plus.

Changing viewfinder
I would like to thank you all for the help given.👍 I changed the viewfinder on Friday and test it underwater and it was indeed quite easy like you said. My Inon unit it doesn’t include the Inon tool, I have seen it on the web but the delivery price is like twice the product itself.

NEW Canon RF 16-28 mm 2.8 underwater, anyone tried?
I was thinking in the ones I use, Tokina 10-17, and sometimes Sigma 17-70 ☺️

NEW Canon RF 16-28 mm 2.8 underwater, anyone tried?
Hi, But this also happens with many others zoom lens that we use underwater isn’t it?
-
Changing viewfinder
Thank you everyone, One thing I have notice is that the S&S Viewfinder is like 50% bigger than the Inon. I haven’t been able to test it underwater yet, I hope I will get use to the Inon pretty fast 😅

Changing viewfinder
Thank you very much all for the information, very useful for me. I will test first the housing without the viewfinder just for giving a try and mount it for the next dive. Btw my Inon viewfinder has no tool in the package. Like you said TimG I think I will also demount it when travelling, I didn’t want to mess with that in the past but maybe time to start😉

[4K] 2 Hours Of Octopus Doing Octopus Things
I love the sentence “octopuses doing octopus things”. I didn’t watch all the video yet, but well done. You say is a 1 minute teaser but for what I see, the link is for the full length video. Octopuses have always fascinated me.

Changing viewfinder
After so many years with the same housing and a viewfinder attached to it I have purchased a new Isotta housing for my loved D500 and a Inon 45º viewfinder. The thing is that I never have mount or demount any viewfinder at all, I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, lol. Anyone could provide some info about changing the viewfinder, some youtube link maybe? The instructions are not very detailed in this regard. Also, I would like to ask if those who use viewfinders disassemble them before travelling? Or keep them in place? Thank you very much.

Kenko Teleconverter and Nikon camera bodies
Sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought the doubts were related only to the Kenko teleconverter. I have one Kenko labeled as PRO 300 but also with the DGX. I don’t have any Nikon Z to test with.

Kenko Teleconverter and Nikon camera bodies
I have one of those PRO 300 that it says also DGX.

Can a fisheye handle everything better than a wide angle zoom?
Hi, Will a Nikon TC-14E III work with Z models and the 8-15mm?
