  1. I would love to test this camera but in single mode lens for underwater + Gopro labs The 360 Effect its great for filming inside the shipwrecks for 360 view, but the Max2 is not recommended for low light conditions.
  2. haven't receive the lens yet.
  3. I think apple chooses the correct path, cinema, broadcast that fits in your pocket. v14044g50000d30rmonog65tajqi3u6g.mp4
  4. iPhone 17 Pro also supports Dolby Vision HDR, 4K120, ProRes Log, ACES support... as well as new pro video features like ProRes RAW. 1x, 2x, 4x Telephoto 8x Telephoto. Digital Zoom is up to 40x for photos
  5. you can use gplog preset and later apply Lut for gopro 13 in davinci resolve.
  6. Yes.. 2x 5000 lumens each (getting too much red) 2x 2500 lumens is enough
  7. (I film in 8:7 because this use full sensor, taller and wider image, i can use the footage for 16:9 youtube or 9:16 for instagram without any loss. Heres my settings (BITR 170 + Dive1 permanent to all presets) WBLK (applied to this preset only) Standart - 8:7 - 4K - 60 - WIDE - Hypersmooth on - 10bit - high - shutter auto - ev compass -0.5 - autoWB (the preset will ignore this) - iso 100 -800 - sharpness medium - denoise High -color natural Video (Same has above except its AutoWB) Gplog log - 8:7 - 4K - 60 - WIDE - Hypersmooth on - 10bit - high - shutter auto - ev compass -0.5 - autoWB - iso 100 -400 - sharpness low - denoise High -color gplog
  8. Just clarification, after you install labs firmware, and create specific presets names/codes, Scan the QR code to be applied, you should see a red tick box on the gopro screen, meaning the code had being scanned Reboot the camera and make some 5 seconds clips with diferent presets. Go to this Gopro metadata website and drag one clip each time so see the metadata https://gopro.github.io/labs/control/metadata/ in the example below preset Gp log (even after reboot) BITR 170 Dive 1 If i use preset WBLK it should appear WBLK 1 on the metadata ps: Dont use settings 4K 60 10bit wide etc etc on the QR code, this settings need to applied manually, for the Qr code use only the specific codes for the preset name.
  9. I would use 0... dont know what (1) is doing
  10. Looking forward to test with AOI UWL-03 Wide Lens, they had a big scratch and ive send to Holland to replace the lens.
  11. @Gmsalterego Hello Diving conditions was far from great, lots of debris underwater (green water) and visibility was about 5 meters. Ive test DIVE=1 and its a great improvement, the image have + stabilisation underwater, and the distortion on the sides its gone (this is crazy) Used GP LOG profile and applied LUT with davinci.. Dont need to do any calibration at this point... Looking at the vectorscope, maybe a bit less saturation to adjust the RED..nothing crazy The gopro 13 Lut works great
  12. Where did you read that ? I have the GP13, and i have to scan the correct QR one time only with correct code. ps: ive added the code *DIVE=1 (permanent even if reboot to all presets) and try tomorrow. i only use gopro for underwater
  13. Hypersmooth Autoboost might be little better than Hypersmooth ON , but the Gopro developer from Labs wrote this while ago So in my case, at the moment i dont use the feature DIVE=1
  14. From Gopro labs DIVE=1 - optimizing the Hypersmooth stabilization for underwater. It might be no surprise, but HyperSmooth is designed for the camera operation above the water’s surface, underwater there is typically less camera shake, and HS is still 70% effective at removing shake. The hack adapts HS to use the refractive index (RI) of water (defaults to 1.335, good for fresh and command salt water), to remove closer to 100% of unwanted shake. Note: if you know your area’s RI is significantly different, use DIVE=r, where r can be 1.3 to 1.45 is supported. Dont use Hypersmooth Autoboost, use ON See discussion here GitHubUnderwater stabilisation · gopro/labs · Discussion #844The problem: GoPro lacks proper underwater stabilisation all the way up to latest hero12. I am really impressed that in air the picture is rock solid, but no matter what I do, underwater is always ... and here GitHubOption for underwater stabilization · Issue #398 · gyrofl...Is there an easy way to make an option for underwater stabilization? 15. I dont put any settings in QR CODE, just the commands above. For the other settings see here.
  16. I dont need plastified QR code cards to get WBLK (white balance lock after 1 second of recording) and i can use and change all 3 presets underwater
  17. On previous post theres the QR codes for WB lock $PRES="0,WBLK" and using a preset name WBLK you dont need any plastified cards, this preset WBLK will be permanent There another code *BITR=170 for higher bitrate, that also will be permanent important: QRcode start by $ will be disable after reboot except if you use $PRES + preset name QRcode start by * will be permanent too all presets even after reboot
  18. @bghazzal A big Thank you i didnt know a LUT was required to GP-LOG footage ... its explained why i wasn't able to get good color grading from gp-log Ive add image after quick color grading 2 pic from left are standart profile 2 pic from the right GP-log Profile with LUT from gopro FW 2.0 ive notice the standart has more detail visible in big screen) but im using FW version 01.30.72 gopro labs and the LUT version might not be correct one. EDIT: Official LUT for gopro 13 https://community.gopro.com/s/article/HERO13-Black-10-Bit-Log-Encoding?language=en_US Found another LUT for Gopro 11/12/13 https://www.leeminglutpro.com And discussions from gopro labs about luts GitHubLUTs for using WIDE with Log 400 (GP-Log), Log 113 (Protu...The Labs feature WIDE is for a wider color gamut, awesome, until you want to match the look of stock GoPro footage. These LUT help convert the GoPro wide gamut to Rec709 color. LUTs - https://www.d... Found a LUT (28€) for davinci resolve free https://xtremestuff.net/store/gp-tune-plugin/
  19. @Gmsalterego give a try to gopro labs firmware You can create permanent presets for gopro 12 and you can change them underwater according to your needs important: QRcode start by $ will be disable after reboot except if you use $PRES + preset name QRcode start by * will be permanent too all presets even after reboot example *BITR=170 this will be available in all presets even if you reboot (higher bitrate ) Preset WBKL (white balance lock) it will lock the WB 1 second after the recording started
  20. A buddy of mine uses white mask and fins, so i know its a good starting point to achieve good reference before cutting any footage. Rocks, sand, torch light, anything white or close to white it also can be used. this video is also a good starting point to learn davinci resolve.
  21. Im not expert But to white balance the footage, the "eyedropper" is one of the recommend tools It’s for getting your footage to a neutral color grade starting point using white as the reference.
  22. By using step 2, adjusting RGB to the highest Value, the software automatically adjusts temperature and tint (step 3)
  23. Found the Video that help me a lot when i started
