  1. The Mission 1 Pro is scheduled to be available to pre-order starting May 21, and it will be widely available on May 28. Pricing, however, was not revealed at the time of publication due to the ongoing issues with flash memory production. The GoPro Mission 1 doesn’t have built-in storage, but it does require RAM. Expect final pricing to be announced closer to the pre-order date. Coming later this year is the Mission 1 ILS, which replaces the fixed lens with a Micro Four Thirds mount. More details on that camera are expected closer to its announcement date, which is scheduled for sometime in Q3 2026.

  7. About WIDE=1 i WIDE=1, the gamut is sensor native, not Rec709, not Rec2020, just what the sensor sees. This is like white balance set to Native - the difference is WIDE=1 leaves the white balancing active, making color correction a little easier and using more of the available bits (8/10-bit). if you use WIDE=1 you will need some LUT to convert to Rec709 color space, im using gp-tune plugin (26€) and color correction with davinci resolve( free version ) and its never been so easy to color correction. I have WB Auto in settings, because using the Wide=1, i think it override the AUTO WB/Native option. The lobster video below was filmed with FLAT + WIDE=1, then GP-tune plugin to convert WIDE to REC709.. its just a few click and the color correction is almost perfect... only 26€ and save me hundreds of hours in post.. Regarding the 4500 kelvin its matter of preference and where you dive, im using Divevolk SL50 that have 5600 Kelvin, probably not the best choice for green atlantic waters, but still im still getting acceptable results for Gopro.

  12. Dcraimanker make a good points about the gopro statement: The GP3 is running a 5NM SoC: That puts it in the same nanometer classification as Insta360 and DJI are using on their latest action cam chipsets. However, as always, that’s only one (kinda small) piece of the larger imaging pipeline puzzle. They say it’s 2X the pixel processing power: That likely ensures it can cover 8K capabilities, which Insta360 and DJI have added to their latest cameras. They mention low light performance: In fact, they do more than mention; they include a few shots on both Instagram and the press release. However, these shots all appear either heavily edited or at least somewhat out of context. So I wouldn’t put too much weight into these. But at least they’re acknowledging the elephant in the room. And to be fair, they do look pretty. They’re gonna make a lot of cameras: They talk about “small form-factor camera markets, including action cameras, 360 cameras, vlogging cameras, and ultra-premium, compact cinema-grade cameras. So, to begin, they’re saying they can beat DJI and Insta360 in every spec possible. Which again, this essentially means likely doing 8K/60, and then critically, not sucking at low-light. Also, not catching fire due to thermal limits. First products launch in Q2 2026: Assuming this means April to June 2026. GoPro to enter the ultra-premium imaging market: If there’s anything that GoPro’s CEO (Nick Woodman) has talked about for longer than I can remember, it’s the idea of trying to target more the cinema realm/business source: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2026/03/gopro-hero14-max3-cinema-camera-outlines-release-schedule.html
  13. GoPro Announces Exclusive Next Generation AI-Enhanced GP3 Processor, Setting a New Image Quality Standard in Low-Light Capture, Runtimes and Thermal Performance Custom GP3 Processor to Debut in New Cameras in Q2 2026 and Power GoPro's Next Generation of Cameras Across Current and Future Products SAN MATEO, Calif., March 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GoPro, Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO) today announced the upcoming launch of GP3, its most powerful custom imaging processor to date. Exclusive to GoPro, GP3 is a 5-nanometer System-on-a-Chip (SoC) that delivers more than 2X the pixel processing power and superior AI-driven image quality and low-light performance over its predecessor, GP2. GP3's power efficiency and thermal performance are expected to significantly outperform the competition, resulting in industry-leading runtimes in the most demanding environmental conditions. These advancements position GP3 to usher in a new era of professional-level image quality, low-light performance, resolution and frame rates for small form-factor camera markets, including action cameras, 360 cameras, vlogging cameras, and ultra-premium, compact cinema-grade cameras. Accompanying images captured on GoPro's next‑generation camera system powered by GP3 showcase the breakthrough image quality and low-light performance enabled by this new technology. At the heart of GoPro's innovative GP3 processor is a specialized AI Neural Processor Unit (NPU) that enables next-generation video pixel processing and market-leading low-light image performance. GP3 also features dedicated cores for scene recognition and subject detection, allowing GoPro cameras to understand their environment in real-time and adjust camera settings automatically. And with its 5-nanometer architecture and exceedingly efficient power-profile, GP3 is expected to enable market-leading resolutions and frame rates with runtimes and thermal performance that significantly outperform the competition. "We expect our new, exclusive GP3 processor to lead in every performance area—image quality, resolution, frame rates, low-light performance and power and thermal efficiency," said Pablo Lema, GoPro's Senior Vice President of Product Management. "Launching in our new products in Q2, GP3 provides a scalable, proprietary foundation we can leverage to power GoPro cameras across existing and future product categories. Our markets demand the very best performance, and we believe this sets the stage for GP3 to serve as a growth catalyst for GoPro." "GP3's bleeding-edge, cinema-grade performance will enable GoPro to enter the ultra-premium end of the imaging market this year, serving the needs of a new, higher-end market segment that can grow GoPro's business and brand," said Nicholas Woodman, GoPro's founder and CEO. "We're excited for GP3 to empower GoPro as both an innovator and disrupter as we look to grow our business through market-leading technology and performance." GP3 will debut in new GoPro cameras in Q2 2026. 18. Nice video. Looks like Condor bank near Faial island about 2 hours away from the Island. @fruehaufsteher2 I was in Pico 2 years ago, try to book princess alice (4 hours from shore) but the weather was not favourable. Its requirement to make pre-dive so they see your skills underwater, the currents can be strong sometimes. The condor is shallow dive, theres no anchor line (the reef is about 180m) The princess Alice bank is about 32m they launch anchor line but if the place is too crowded the last boats will be anchored at the edge of the reef, and the last thing you want is to get your boat adrift while you are secured and line with sharks getting their bait at the end of the line. Both places are very weather dependent I recommend Haliotis dive center for this type of dives, its open sea, make sure the boat is not a small zodiac or is too crowded https://www.discoverfaial.com/experencias/mergulho-com-tubaroes/ ps: Santa Maria is another spectacular Island of azores, especially at whale shark season (august to October)

A Say goodbye to static POVs and manual drones. AQUA redefines content creation with AI-powered tracking, waterproof design, and palm-sized portability - all hands-free, all on water. Building on the success of PROMAX, the world's No. 1 self-flying camera, Zero Zero Robotics expanded its portfolio from skiing and biking into water sports. AQUA goes further with faster flight speed, longer flight time, real-time video, and IP-67 water resistance paired with neutral buoyancy. It follows users automatically over and around the water, delivering smooth, breathtaking shots from entirely new angles and opening the door for water-sport lovers everywhere. It floats. It follows. It films - anywhere on water. Equipped with a 4K/100 fps slow-motion camera, a 1/1.28" CMOS sensor, and a hydrophobic lens, AQUA ensures stunning image quality. With more than 15 automated flight modes such as snorkel mode and gimbal mode, as well as Level 7 wind resistance up to 33 knots, a lightweight design under 249g requiring no FAA registration, 23 minutes of flight time, and a maximum tracking speed of 55 km/h (34 mph), HOVERAir AQUA is ready to capture every adventure, hands-free and from entirely new perspectives.
