I have obtained a Kenko TELEPLUS PRO 300 DG AF (not the "d" model, and it works fine...AF and aperture display.

Does anyone know if continuous autofocus with 3D tracking works on the Z bodies with the 8-15 + FTZ + Kenko TC DG combination?

Just checked the combination. Yes, it works on a Z6iii with the DG version of the Kenko 1.4 but NOT the DGX version.

Yes, i use that TC on the Z8. Everything works great.

Super useful and I will definitely be printing the TC zoom gear version for the 8-15 and the 24-50 zoom gear too when I pull the trigger on the Z5 II...

Keep in mind that for the Z5II with Nauticam you need the ($500+) Nauticam N120 FTZ adapter which has its own zoom knob which engages with the F mount zoom gears. You could avoid this and use the housing zoom control by making the zoom gear 25mm longer. You still need the extra extension though and Nauticam don't make a 45mm ring it seems but you may already have extensions to make up what is required.

I know I had the adapter mounted knob for my rig using a Canon 8-15 and I didn't really like it. The zoom control gears on the FTZ look like an improvement on the older style adapter mounted knobs though.

The Z5-II and Z6-III housings use a newer, more compact, and less compatible design than other Nikon / Nauticam housings.

They only have "native" gears for a handful of lenses at this point, and you really do need the FTZ Adapter thing to use most lenses and gears.

Thanks guys. Went for a Nauticam Z8 housing in the end as I already own the Z8 for topside photography.
