Since my used Nauticam WWL-1 lens didn't come with a back cap, I made a suitable one. It also works for the bayonet mount. I hope someone can use this.

I've been using the Nauticam MFO-1 lens for a few weeks and decided to fit it out with a Lens Hood and Cap to protect it from damage while in use and in storage. My previous close-up diopters took a beating over time, and I wanted to do better with the MFO. I've used it on a handful of dives and it works great. The hood is rubber so if you pump a rock, it won't break and just acts as a bumper protecting the glass and body. It can also help reduce lens flare from your strobes.

The Hood is printed with TPU rubber and slips tightly over the MFO-1. The Nauticam provided cap won't work when the hood is installed, so I made a cap as well. Both soft TPU and hard PETG versions of the cap are available.

Note: These will work with the Nauticam SMC and CMC lenses as well.

I recently got a mount for a nauticam bayonet on a 70mm float arm. I didn't want to upgrade my float arms to the nauticam ones so I made a simple adapter to mount it on a generic 60mm float arm.

 

Printed in TPU, printing with 5 perimeters worked well for me.

I modelled up a zoom gear for the sony 28-60 in a nauticam n100 housing. I used it for several dives and it has worked without issues for me.

Model consists of 2 parts: TPU ring which fits around the zoomring on the lens and the gear itself which I printed in PETG

Hello everyone,

I've created a transport case for a colleague's KELDAN Battery 4. It took a few iterations, but now the case fits, and the battery can be transported and charged in it. Perhaps someone here could use this as well. If you're interested, I can also make a version with two or four batteries.

Zip Tie Gear Labels

This simple design is a solution to a problem I often face. Scuba gear needs to be serviced at regular intervals, and I need to keep track. I use an Excel spreadsheet for much of this, but some of the gear is very generic and not easily distinguished from other similar items. For example, Tank Valves and 1st Stage regulators. So, I wanted to come up with an easy way to label the gear directly. I use a standard thermal label printer all the time and that works for some items. But often there is no space or flat surface that you can stick a label to. I also wanted it to be very small and not likely to snag or get ripped off the gear. I recently serviced 6 of my tank valves and 4 1st stages and this provided the opportunity to solve the problem.

I decided that a label that could be attached flush with a zip tie was a perfect solution. The labels are holding up well after a number of dives, but time will tell if this is robust enough. I'll iterate on the design if it needs to be tougher.

For my uses I printed the Date and my Initials. For example, “Q2 2025” & “DLH”. I kept the text area small with space for two lines. I also created a longer version with enough room for a full name and phone number.

Camera arm mount for Venture Heated Vest Controller

I just designed and printed a camera arm mount for the Venture Heated Vest remote controller. I use a Venture heated vest when scuba diving in cold water for added warmth and comfort. I recently replaced my old and fading Thermolution vest with a new Venture Heat vest. Typically, this controller would be mounted on your wrist or possibly hang from a bolt snap on your BC d-rings. I had the Thermolution controller on the same strap as my Teric wrist computer. Unfortunately, I found that the Venture Controller interfered with my Shearwater computer's electronic compass, making wrist mounting impossible for me. My BC d-rings were already quite utilized, making it difficult to find the controller in the jumble. I decided a better option would be to mount the controller on my camera strobe arms. I always dive with the camera, and this put the controller in easy reach while staying out of the way.

The mount can be attached to your camera arm with Velcro strips or zip ties. I used Velcro strips around the Stix foam floats on my camera arms, and it is quite secure.

To put the controller in the mount, place it diagonally in the mount, with the spring button angled up. Press down on the raised edge to snap it into place. I suggest attaching a small carabiner to similar clip to the controller and then affix it to the loop on the mounting bracket for extra security.

Print in PETG or ABS for best results. PLA is not great for underwater objects and might be too brittle to handle repeated installation and removal of the controller over time. (You must remove it to charge periodically.)

Since the Nitecore NL2160HP cells for my new AOI UIS-P1 Ultra flashlight don't fit into standard 21700 cases, I quickly made my own transport case. However, the case also fits 21700 cells, such as XTAR.

The lens should arrive tomorrow so I am not entirely sure until I am able to mount it in my housing, but from what I've read, I think it will fit behind 90mm. I am hoping that my existing Nauticam macro port 80 and 10mm extension ring will fit the bill.

Take measurements with a digital caliper of the diameter (mm) of to the zoom ring. Mount the lens on the camera, then measure distance from the mount to the base of the zoom ring.

I can try to make you a zoom gear. Pay postage and i will send it to you.
