Arm lengths and overall clutter.
Very clever! I don't know why I didn't even consider putting the lanyard holders inside. I put them between the handle and the face of the clamp like the ULCS product page shows.

Have you had any instances with the bungee loops at the end of your arms presenting any sort of entanglement issues during the dive?

I used them for a while, and they're nice because they're cheap and can "upgrade" an existing clamp. However, I ended up buying new clamps with an integral shackle due to a few issues. First, the lanyard metal would frequently bind with the screw so adjusting the clamp meant wiggling the lanyard holder to move things. This was most noticeable when loosening because the spring wasn't strong enough to push the metal out. Second, when I was getting out of the water and had the clamps tightened, any swaying of the lanyard would work the clamps loose enough that the (heavy) strobes could swing around and hit the housing or flop out and get much wider.

SMC 2/3 on Sony 28-60
I have a CMC2 that I'm considering upgrading to an SMC (probably an SMC 3 but would consider the 2) to pair with the sony 28-60 lens I currently have. Nauticam port charts don't list the SMC series with the zoom lens, only with the 90/100mm macro lenses. So, I was wondering if it actually works and is worth the upgrade? I am planning to buy a 100mm macro lens for my trip to Anilao in '27, so I'll probably end up buying one eventually - but if it won't really work with the lens I have there's no point in buying now.

Fibre Optic Cables? Make your own....
Looks like I might be too new to the forum to send direct messages, it's not going through. I'd like to get 3 (pair of strobes + an extra) one meter long fiber optic cables with the 90 degree elbows on both sides (nauticam housing to retra strobe)

Fibre Optic Cables? Make your own....
@Dave_Hicks I'm a little late to the party do you still have any cables/connectors to sell? I'd print the connectors my self but my last attempt to print flexible materials ended with a disassembled extruder and lots of cursing.

RETRA Pro Max 1 - Weirdness after update
I had a few questions on my last trip for my (then) new-to-me Retra strobes. Matija and the entire Retra support team were incredible at answering my questions very promptly, even outside of normal business hours.

Hi from California
I only recently got into u/w photography after dabbling in above water wildlife photos as a hobby for a few years. I was fortunate enough to spend the second half of last year traveling around the Pacific and doing a ton of diving and photographing! I'm now fully hooked and working on upgrading my set up (that gear acquisition syndrome hits hard). A few of my favorites from my travels.
