I'm considering add-on lenses for using my new action cam underwater. I have the backscatter air M52 air lens but not sure I will be able to use it with this camera? Also need advice on which holder/adaptor suits the housing. I had a link to an AOI one that was suggested, but the link goes no where now so...

Flyby turtle photo tax (not taken with the AP2!)

Thanks!

The AOI Lens is the one you should use…. AOI UWL-03-BLK

You can use the standard one or the pro. The pro has real glas for less or no reflections of the sun (I guess). I used the Standard for video and its awesome.

Depending on what action cam you use, they have mounts for GoPro, DJI and Insta360.

It available in most shops around the world.

Hi Kristin,

Sadly the Air Lens won't work with Action Cameras.

I was using a Backscatter/AOI wide-angle lens as well as a Backscatter Macro MinMate +15 with my Go Pro 12 last year and absolutely loved the creativity that it gave me whilst testing it in Raja Ampat last year. I'm attaching an image taking with it whilst in Misool and a close-up image taken in the just as Sunny UK.

Another option that you can use with the Insta 360 Ace Pro and Ace Pro 2 aside from AOI is the INON UFL-G140 SD Underwater Semi-Fisheye Conversion Lens. You can see the difference between them on UW Camera Store's Link here:-

Hope this helps and let us know if you need any more help or advice. :) .

Good luck and look forward to hearing how you get on.

Maria
