UW Photo Mag is over after this issue

Featured Replies

He didn't mention it in his email, it's buried in his editorial called "150," but this is the last ever issue of Underwater Photo Magazine as Peter is retiring. https://www.uwpmag.com/ will stay open through the end of 2026. I'll miss it as a resource, mostly for photo-oriented trip reports and in-depth equipment reviews. But 2026 hasn't been kind to magazines, even digital ones. So long and thank you.

So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

Seems appropriate...

I'm really sorry. It was a really great source of information. I spent lots of time browsing uwpmag issues.

I will miss it

I’ve been a long time reader and occasional contributor. Thanks, Peter, for a great run and best wishes for an active, happy retirement.

I looked forward to every issue. Mr. Rowland is keeping the site alive through w026, and every issue is available for download. It’s a cool way to see how underwater imaging has evolved over the years.

I’d like to join the chorus. UWP was one of the first resources I found when starting out and I downloaded every issue as soon as I got the notice. I too will be sad to see it go. Wishing Peter a well deserved and happy retirement!

Just downloaded this morning and then read this - happy retirement Peter and thanks for such a great resource.

Like most underwater photographers, I have greatly enjoyed UWP Mag down the years. And will miss it coming out every couple of months. We were very lucky to have such a diverse and quality publication about our little world.

I haven't asked Peter, but I would think he'd be very supportive of the right person taking up the mantle. And knowing him well, very against the wrong person.... 🤣

Alex

I see what you did there Alex! (At least, I think so - its hard to believe that the old site still limps along)
