Hello everybody, I'm looking at the new Inon's macro/close up wet lens. At the moment I belong backscatter macromate mini, good lens but difficult to use due to the short depth of field which cause difficult getting focus objects.

Having in mind performance but easy of use, someone is using INON ucl G55, G100 or G165 lens?

The G55 sounds as the better of them as magnification ratio but has a very small depth of field. I look forward to your suggestions.

Bye, Giacomo

For macro you will need a tripod

Macro mini focus distance 7.5 cm (3.9 inches)

UCL-G55 focus distance 4.8cm to 6.2 cm (1.9 to 2.4 inches

UCL-G100 focus distance 7cm to 15.2 cm (2.8 to 6.0 inches)

UCL-G165 focus distance 10 cm to 35 cm ( 3.9 inches to 13.8 inches)

Hi,

I have buy the G55 and the G100 for my wife last year.

It is good for filming small things.. but it is not allways easy with the G55.
I didn't use it personnaly but she startet to film more and more small shrimps and she make more an more good small sequences.

I buy first the G100 and after one trip add the G55.. it give the possibility have fun with a GoPro

For me the quality is ok and it was a good decision to buy it.

I'm oriented to G100 if I consider the focus range much better than G55 even using the focus stick.
