  1. Fabulous, Wolfgang. I think I've got a pic of the brother of your sand bass.
  2. Hi Ashok I use LR Classic which is slightly different I think but my suggestion would be: if you still have the file(s) on the SD card, delete the version in LR and then re-copy them from the SD card to LR using LR Import. Or, If you know where the image is on your external HD, you can, as you have seen, point LR to it and LR will then change the location of the picture on its database. I think you could batch move these by going into the grid view, selecting the images, right clicking and then Go To Folder which will show their location in LR. You can then drag them where you want. Obviously though if they are in different folders to stat with, batch moving may not be feasible. What you don't want to do is move their location outside of LR. LR then gets lost. I'm not sure if that helps or not!
  3. Welcome, Ashok! Great to have you with us.
  4. You’re most welcome, Alex. Great to have you with us.
  5. Davide: I'm sure you spotted I used the word "ex". There is a cost to everything. I loved the car though. Cabriolet Smart. Only sold it a few months ago after 15 years - with the sound system 🤣
  6. I went through the Mc Mini v Studio mental debate about a year ago. Finally settled on the Studio Max with 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD drive. (I can almost hear @makar0n's eyes rolling). The Studio is brilliant. Yeah, expensive for sure. But my 55k LR catalogue flies. As did my wallet.
  7. For 2023 for me it has to be a Yellowline Arrowcrab. I had so much fun during the year shooting these with a snoot.
  8. I know this is off-topic, but I had to share this with you in light of the Post-Truth purchase comments: I fitted a ridiculously expensive sound system into my Smart FourTwo car many years ago. The manager laughed when I said he had to swear if asked by my ex that it cost £475. He said some weeks previous, he had fitted a 5-figure system to a client’s Jaguar and had agreed he would tell the client’s wife it cost £1200. … and of course, she came into the shop some days later and said her husband’s new car sound system was so wonderful she wanted the exact same system in her Volvo. The manager charged her £1200. The manager told me he had then to call her husband and explain that he would have to pay an extra £9000 to cover the cost! How we laughed. True story.
  9. Hey Nelson! Welcome aboard. Great to have you with us and add to the growing Downunder contingent!
  10. Thanks, Gary! Much appreciated. I suspect the team are a bit surprised by how well it's gone too. Massive sense of relief. But, really, it's all about the enthusiasm of the members - especially the refugees - and the contributors. The response has been fantastic.
  11. I made separate ones for macro and wide-angle. I just built the gear the way I’d use it then measured with the arms fully extended. Then added a bit for good measure. If they prove to be too long, just cut them after initial trials.
  12. Bienvenue, Jean-Luc! Great to have you with us.
  13. Thanks, Ian. That’s very kind and much appreciated! We’re delighted with the response to Waterpixels. There’s a great group of people onboard!
  14. Our video experts will chip-in, no doubt. But way closer to 20k than 2k. My partner has a 5k Orca light for her GoPro
  15. Thanks for getting this rolling, Ian. Definitely worth a thread.
  16. Ive never seen fungus on a port - I’ve sure had it on lenses - but I have had those weird drying marks on glass ports. Washing with fresh water and then drying with a soft cloth helps but, at least for me, hasn’t solved it completely. I’ve had to use Mothers Glass Cleaner which worked pretty well.
  17. €10 says Frau fruehaufsteher2 is not reading these posts. 🤣
  18. Ahh, yes, we know that heavily invested feeling. Welcome, Erik! We can help you invest even more heavily…..
  19. Argh - not good. Obvious comment, but it's stuck for a reason. I guess you've already tried the usual "reboot" - switching it off and on. If that doesn't clear it, I'd have thought something mechanical has gone wrong and that, to me, indicates a repair job. Bummer.
  20. An extremely good point. I do believe that there is an automatic membership for all Waterpixels contributors.
