I made 2 more dives What me impressed is the fast recharge and the small use of the batterie. Another point is that the battery compartment is easier to close. The joints can no longer get stuck. With the Booster there are no 2 additional o-ring like with the Retra Pro. Changing batteries that were seriously starting to annoy me is much simpler and faster. I really appreciate this change I think it would be wise for Retra to sell the retra only with booster but to give the 2 closing parts for use with 4 or 8 batteries. But personally I don't really see the point of diving only with 4. Unless, of course, for one reason or another, we run out of batteries A small negativ point, really small. Before with the light giving the mode of the strobe it's vissible if you forgot to turn the strobe off. With the new one you see nothing... I dived on Thursday and I just saw that I completely drained the batteries because I didn't turn off the flashes. It's my mistake.. ok but a small (or long) beep or such an alert can be good after 2 hours without turning the strobe off. @Oskar - Retra UWT A small Idea for the next firmeware- Downsizing from Full Frame to M4/3

You are absolutly right. On an other forum... I tried to make some interesting travel reports. Give a lot of (i hope) usefull information. Some guys didn't appreciate that... to many informations.. and for some they are a lot of jealousy. After near 10 years to give a lot and received a many thanks of some readers I have enough from this negativ people. That is a part of the reasons why i'm here now It is so difficult these days to find reliable information. Here I have the impression that there are friendly people who try to help and give good information Thanks to all- Any recent experience with Import duties on Retra strobes to US?

Thanks @RomiK I was a little bit frustrated with this topic. I "invest" a lot when I bought my R5, + housing + ports + lenses + strobes. And now some guys says I can have the same result (or better) with less money, less weight etc... I'm happy with my setup that's important.- new Retra strobe the Pro Max II

- What do you carry your camera rig in?
my backpack Isotta R5 2 Retra Flat port with 2 macro lenses R5 with rf 10-20 in the Isotta rf 100 + rf 14-35 "some" battery more than 1 KG 2 gopro and a MS Surface tablet. Handle, arm clamp etc etc in the checked-in luggage. I don't know how to travel with less weight- What do you carry your camera rig in?
I wanted to stay within regulation ... but it's not possible. Wrong I need to fly business... but it's realy to expensive for me. The second possibility is to put more in the check-in luggage... but NO - No insurance will cover the lost or the damage of part in this luggage. I asked to buy some more kg as cabin luggage... not possible Would you put 10000 or more €, in addition in the checked-in ? I have allready the regulator, BCD arm, etc . It's more than the insurance will pay back in case of... They are also no possibility to have a better insurance. It's only 500€ or $ I can't remember. I have no trust in what hapend with the check-in luggage.- What do you carry your camera rig in?
Back from a small diving trip in Italy/Ustica backpack with 17,5 kg no problem ... but ok it was not a lowcost airline... otherwise .... :( One time on Scoot from Cebu to Singapore at the check in. Can you put your backpack on the band. 16,5 KG ... Direct I said one moment.. look .. I opened the backpack... the man stand up ask the supervisor and came back ok you can close the backpack it is ok. After a lot of mails with Singapore air... the only solution was "You need to fly in business" Since I fly economy and had never problems. Our gears are compact that's mean the backpack does not seems to be over 8, 10 or 12 KG.. I try to have it only on 1 shoulder... (it's light ;) ) and smile. - new Retra strobe the Pro Max II
