  9. It wasn't... good for the diver... no?
  10. It happend. In Nouvelle Calédonie a diver was injured the third of january REQUIN. Le "craquage de bouteille", une pratique mise en cause dans l'attaque d'un plongeur le 3 janvier en Calédonie With plastic bottle he made noise like the noise when a shark is eating a fish... The shark came and ... :( Translation "Avoiding "an overreaction" and "unnecessary fear" "I am testifying today because accurate data is the only way for organizations and the government of New Caledonia to make informed decisions about shark management," the witness defended. I want to avoid an overreaction from the authorities, such as the killing of sharks, which often occurs when the facts of an incident are misunderstood. Making the truth known also helps protect the local diving industry from the economic damage that unnecessary fear can cause." "A very dangerous way of proceeding" In another testimony, a couple of Australian tourists claim to have witnessed the cracking of a bottle during a dive in New Caledonia in October. "One thing we observed was that the instructors had brought plastic bottles underwater during the dives so that they could create this cracking sound in the water and to attract sharks. "It's a very dangerous way of proceeding," warns the man, "because we don't know exactly how sharks can react to this." "I think there's a difference between trying to deliberately trigger a certain behavior," she adds, "instead of just observing how the animal evolves in its natural environment." Like "a devoured fish skeleton" Unlike shark feeding, this sensory stimulation technique is not prohibited in New Caledonia. Claude Maillaud has been cataloguing attacks for years. Asked about this, he believes that this could partly explain the attack on January 3. "It could reproduce the cracking of a fish skeleton that is devoured by a shark."
  11. I searched this picture made with the RF100... Distance 7 m like the frog fish left This distance is near the reality not the frog fish
  12. The distance are really not right. It change from 1 m to 4, 7, 18 and infinite I don't know how it is calculate... Water, lens and MFO-3 bring the exif to madness The left picture is 4m the right 1 m....
  13. I browsed through the pictures in LR. The one right is without the MFO-3 (Canon RF100) The subject to big it was a shot to make test. The left one is (sure to 99%) with the MFO-3... more or less the same distance as the other. The frgofish moved a little
  14. I made some shots during last trip... but to be honest I don't know wich with and witch without the MFO-3 I can try to find some but without waranty. But if you have time, I'll have some after 10 days diving in Lembeh next month.
  15. It's a self made flip I'm searching some pictures wait a mnute
  16. Bienvenue sur waterpixel @tailwind_marseille Before you continue your research, it is urgent to discuss with your banker (and/or your wife) to explain that you are going to have some reckless expenses. There right away, then very regularly over the next years. If the discussion goes well you can continue your research. I speak from experience
  17. Better I don't know but easier for sure
  18. I'm using a R5 with the RF100 I have also the SMC-1 impossible to use for the picture I take with the MFO-1 The range is from near to 1 m or a little bit more. I don't really know.. That mean I can put it and make mear 95 % of the dive with it... some times I change (Flip x3) for the SMC-1 or since last trip the MFO-3. Next month 10 days in Lembeh with this configuration... the first intensive test with the 3 lenses mounted together. Last year in Lembeh I was absolutly happy with the MFO-1 The RF100 give me "out of the box" a mx magnification of 1-1.4 it is enough. for near 100% of my shoot.
  19. For me (Canon RF 100) the main utility is to have a reduced range of focus. It's important for me to shoot small subjects with some element in the background. If the focus go in the back it is difficult or impossible to get it back near. The MFO change my life... I win a lot of time for some pictures --> better results, faster more time for other shoots
  20. We triying to have fun together... We explain what we want to the guide... some macro... and some bigger/coral/ fishes Sometimes my wife don't make the third dive.... --> I'll make 100 macro And some time I accept to make wide angle dive... @Kristin thanks you for your remark it's an important point. Booth need to have fun.
  21. 99% ???? I'm right ? 🤣
  22. I took tim eto retrieve the 3D STL from my bloat for the Isotta H117 port
