  1. Did you see Alex B’s post on 4 May? I thought the same thing but apparently not! 😱
  2. Interestingly I've been talking to Nauticam about their housing for the Z6III and they recommended this combination.
  3. Can anyone confirm for me please the right EXR to use with the Subal DP100 and the Nikkor 8-15mm lens? I'm pretty sure it's the EXR20 - the same as using the DP-FE port - but wanted to check. Thanks! Tim
  4. Totally agree - unless we now have the Giant Blue-ringed Octopus - a sister species to the Pygmy Whale Shark.
  5. Probably is - but long may it survive!
  6. @Troporobo is your man for info on this - and will I'm sure chip-in. Based on his recommendations my partner and I did Anilao and Puerta Galera some years ago and really enjoyed it. Muck diving in Anilao is good (and I used to run muck diving trips in a resort in the Lembeh Straits) and we had 5 days there. It's not all muck but lots of macro critters. Puerta Galera (PG) is a boat ride away and an easy transfer - so little wasted time travelling. A variety of dives around there with some interesting critters including rhinopeas. We spent another 5-6 days there.
  7. My 16-year old Subal 45-degree viewfinder has a fair bit of water-staining on the glass. Clean this maybe by rubbing gently with the cerium oxide powder and a soft cloth?
  8. Isaac, what do you use to remove those water stains? This is an issue that has been discussed a few times in relation to water stains on ports.
  9. Another, seemingly small, update to LR Classic - to version 13.5.1 This seems to be minor bug fixes.
  10. Just a quick update on the fibre order: it's on its way and it scheduled to reach my mate in NYC tomorrow. Yay! No change on when I can start shipping it out to you guys.
  11. Brilliantly done, Davide - and utterly depressing. And, yes, those who have been diving for a couple of decades or more have seen the massive changes.

"The new law, adopted by plenary on Tuesday with 602 votes in favour, 13 against and 8 abstentions" I wonder who the Thirteen were!

In contrast to GoPro, a number of the camera manufacturers (or nearly all of them?) seem to have standardised on batteries which seem to last through generations of cameras. My Nikon D100, 200, 300, 700, 800, Z6 and Z6III all used the same battery format but with some technical changes on their capacity - but all were interchangeable. Even the "pro" series, D5, D6, Z9 use/used a common format. Totally agree on cables. Is USB-C the new brave hope? My iPhone 12 is the only thing I have left with Lightning. Phew.... Well done EU!
  14. I do like the look of that Think Tank bag. Tempting….. Time to move on from my Pelican? Hmmmmm……
  15. There has been some discussion about the S&S correction lens. Especially about availability. As you say, there are, or were, two sizes and a number of members use them especially with 230 domes ad FX cameras.

Hey Jeff! Great to have you onboard. A warm welcome to Waterpixels.
  18. A day in Singapore is no hardship. If you like Indian food, go into the Indian part of town. Great eateries.

  20. Hi Andrzej. - and welcome to Waterpixels. Great to have you with us n
  21. Yeah, that's pretty standard in the airline industry. Which carrier are you using to fly into Changi? Then you transfer to Garuda?
  22. Yeah, as Chris says, having one ticket to check baggage from departure airport to final destination makes changes WAY easier. Timing could be quite tight. Again, as Chris says, if you can do it anywhere, Changi is the place. An amazing airport. I'd be tempted to grab someone from customs service as soon as you can, be super nice and outline the tight connection. They may be able to assist in speeding you through and getting to the front off queues. If, on the other hand, they are relaxed about it... there's your cue!
  23. Hi devin Welcome to Waterpixels! Good to have you with us.
  24. Similar, I’m sure. The Subal and Nauticam viewfinders have a threaded end to them. A large circular, threaded retaining ring screws on to the viewfinder threads inside the housing and holds it place. Subal use two o-rings on the shaft of the viewfinder to prevent water ingress into the housing. To remove the viewfinder you unscrew the retaining ring and gently pull the viewfinder out. To refit, push the viewfinder back through the hole in the housing back and refit the retaining ring and tighten gently.
